STEP 1: Choose a DJ website Host
Since most DJs will either already have a site, or they are building one, or perhaps have one or two and looking to expand, this is a great place to start. I have made this my starting point. STEP 2: Build / Optimize DJ website
The basic of creating a search engine friendly "optimized" website, is truly not much more complicated than creating a clean site that focuses on your primary target audience via proper key phrase density and textual content. In other words, if creating a DJ site, you will benefit from building it around the keyphrases related to your business... There are plenty of resources on the web regarding optimizing websites, etc, but if you'd prefer to get the job done much quicker I can optimize your existing site, or build a new site for you.

STEP 3: Promote DJ website
In order to effectively promote your DJ Site, you'll need to find quality websites, directories and search engines to promote it at.
3a) Start with those "free URL submission" sources which will do the most good:
3b) Secondly, "Add your URL for free" to DJ Directories and Wedding Directories, Top Link Sites, etc... Remember, it MUST be a "Related" site for it to do much good. Do Not add your URL to link farms - only specialized mobile entertainment and wedding sites and keep in mind that they may require a "reciprocal link" (link on your site to theirs), to maintain the linking arrangement. Here are a few good ones:
3c) Thirdly, choose at least one paid ad solution from a "related content site", to help promote your site to captive party planning audiences, and one which will help your site get "crawled" or "indexed" by the major search engines and which provides a strong one-way back-link to your new site, (some of the sites where you signed up for free may solicit paid upgrades too):
3d) Lastly, choose a Pay Per Click Ad Campaign, offered by one of the major search engines. This will "kick-start" your website's success. Just be careful not to use very "generic keywords"... Stick to highly specific "key phrases", to avoid going broke, (can happen easily if you choose a generic term to bid on i.e.; "wedding" or "DJ"... I prefer Google AdWords, because I've used most of them and it seems to give the biggest bang for the buck:

Now that you've whipped together a website and launched it on the Internet, it's time to make it sell your DJ services and manage your Gigs, Quotes and Music more effectively! There are several of these solutions available, these are the most popular:
STEP 5: Build Up a Network of Quality Link Partners
To achieve and maintain excellent high ranking search results for YOUR website AND those sites where you advertise at, you'll need to build up a network of quality link partners, A.K.A.
